Objective

Make the most profit dollars!

How It Works

• Players are split into teams.
• Each team owns a chocolate chip cookie business.
• In each selling round, the team determines the price to charge for a box of cookies and the amount of chocolate chips in each cookie.
• Customers will buy cookies based on each team's price and chocolate chip content versus the price and chocolate chip content of competitor teams.
• After every round, each team will learn the results - units, revenue, costs, and profits.
• Teams will then set prices and chocolate chip content for the next round.

Cookie Economics

• Cost per cookie sold - $0.50 cents per chocolate chip (100 cookies per box). Includes all other ingredients and packaging.
• Cost per round - $1,000 every round. Includes bakery usage, shelf rental, business license.

Your Customers

• Customers all have different degrees of price and chocolate sensitivity.
• Customers are sensitive to increases in price.
• Customers are sensitive to decreases in chocolate.
• Customers are "indifferent" to small differences in price and chocolate content.

Customer Relationship Boost

• $5 per paying customer per round.
• Increases customer "stickiness" to you.
• You can opt in or out of the stickiness boost in each round.

Market Pricing Research

• $100 per round.
• Provides the selling round's high and low price.
• Provides the selling round's high and low chip content.

Market Share Research

• $100 per round.
• Provides your percent of sales revenue in the selling round.
• Provides your percent of unit sales in the selling round.
